Also known as Dea (DAY-uh)
You may know me as Darksporechild. I've been a member of DeviantART for almost two years, and I've got...(at present) 584 deviations.
I came up with the name Deastrumquodvicis for my fanvid series (which sadly never got past the scripting stage). It's Latin for Goddess of the Stars and of Time. She's a Time Lord in-training (hence the meaning of the name) who left Gallifrey right before its destruction in a broken TARDIS. Played by me. I'd modified her from my fanfic character Deora, who's kind of an emo punk outgoing version of me. Deastrumquodvicis is more of a version of me that's the one who never figured out how to fit in. An aspect of me, if you will. (LOL "I am him, he will be me." "Who will I be?")
Speaking of that, I have a knack for finding quotes or songs to match any situation. These things just sort of pop into my head, and it makes me smirk.
My favored form of humor is puns or wordplay. Also situational irony. Favorite pun (from a cut scene of the Seventh Doctor episode Ghost Light): "It says here that Darwin suffered from seasickness. Odd, considering his origins."
Also, blatantly obvious statements that people tend not to make can be funny. See signature for details.
One of my most favored Doctor Who possession is a First Edition novelization of The Two Doctors, signed by Colin Baker. No one remembers how we got it.
If I were a Time Lord, I'd be Prydonian. Evidence of this has been noted by my grandfather, who once stated that I would be the first President of the Universe. I guess that's why I like hogging the remotes, directing films, and administrating message boards.
My favorite Doctor Who companion is Romana II, and my least favorite is Turlough (tied with Mel).
I do, sadly, have dial-up. Pathetic at that; the fastest connection I get is 19.2Kbps. That's not going to change in the near future. We don't even have high-speed lines where I live. However, my mother does have high-speed, and I'll have access to it on some holidays and on the summer break.
(wow, I've got 58000 characters remaining? Daaaaang)
I also like confounding people with intellectual stuff. (eh, that started out good...)
One of my favorite lines from the revived Doctor Who: "People assume that time is a strict progression of cause to effect, but actually, from a nonlinear, nonsubjective viewpoint, it's more like a big ball of wibbly-wobbly, timey-wimey...stuff." Go 10. And Steven Moffat.
Most terrifiying Doctor Who creature: the Midnight entity.
Most I-want-to-stab Doctor Who creature: Sil
Favorite enemy: The Master
EDIT: Ooh! And Omega's a good baddie. I like him too. And I've heard rumours...if Moffat wasn't throwing us a red herring, and if he meant what I thought he meant in that article in DWM...I'm going to have that grin I usually reserve for Time Crash...then the aforementioned rumour might just have the chance to be true... But we mustn't allow rumours to get our hopes up. He's thrown us red herrings before--the whole Adric thing--so one must be careful.
That's a roughly basic summary of me, I think. Oh. I also like being random and nonconforming.
Concerning the Sixth Doctor: I've "watched" him since I was in the womb. My mother told me that I would react so vigorously to things like Vengeance on Varos that it would make her sick. I smirked when I heard that.
